Abstract:
An experiment was carried out under polyhouse to investigate the interaction between the predatory mite, A. finlandicus and the prey, 0. indicus. It was found that at 1:10 ratio, A. finlandicus caused maximum reduction of 0. indicus. The predatory mite preferred to feed more upon eggs as compared to other mobile stages. It was also found that once the population of the prey 0. indicus was reduced, the population of predatory mite also declined showing a density dependent activity.
